Curls+Diversity=Curlversity

Nesey started her career as a Hair Stylist in 2009. Although she enjoyed all aspects of styling hair, she focused her skills on cutting and coloring. She expanded her knowledge by working on a variety of hair types. 

In 2013, she got her last relaxer and began her personal curl journey. While in transition, she experienced daily struggles, lack of knowledge, education, and resources. 

As a result, she took her first DevaCurl class, where she learned a different approach to cutting curls and techniques to style them. After putting these techniques in practice, she fell in love with curls and that ignited a new passion behind the chair. 

In 2018, she began working with DevaCurl, as an educator. She traveled around the country, teaching stylists how to incorporate curly styling and cutting techniques in their salons.

She enjoys helping clients see their natural selves through curl discovery. During an appointment, she focuses on education, empowerment, and simplicity. 

Nesey promotes an inclusive and accessible environment for all clients.

Fun fact: She is fluent in American Sign Language and has worked as an Interpreter for over 5 years.
